This page explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on worldteams.com, who sets them, and how you can change your choice. It covers this website only. Our careers and job boards run on separate sites with their own settings.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether we may use non-essential cookies, and rejecting is always as easy as accepting.
What happens before you answer depends on where you are, because the rules differ. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics and Google Ads set no cookies until you accept. Everywhere else they are active from the start.
We want to be exact about the limits of that choice, because being vague here would be worse than saying nothing.
Rejecting stops HubSpot from loading the next time you open the site, but it does not stop what is already running, and we do not delete cookies that were set before you chose. Meta, LinkedIn and a second session recording tool are loaded through a tag manager that WorldTeams administers outside this website, so your choice here does not switch those off at all. The forms on some pages are hosted by HubSpot and load on their own. To opt out of any of those, use the privacy or ad settings of each platform, or clear this site's data in your browser.
What we always store
Two things are stored on your device regardless of your choice, and neither is a cookie. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage, so we do not ask again on every page. And when you arrive from a link, an ad or a search result, we keep how you got here (the campaign, the referring site and the page you landed on) so that we can tell which of our efforts brought you. That record is attached to your inquiry if you later send us one.

Session recording
Session recording reconstructs how a visit unfolded: the pages viewed, the scrolling, where the pointer moved, and what was typed into fields. We use it to find parts of the site that do not work well.
Because it is the most detailed of these tools, the account managed from this website only loads after you accept, wherever you are. A second account is loaded through the tag manager and starts recording on arrival; your choice here does not control it. If you would rather not be recorded at all, Hotjar honors the "Do Not Track" setting of your browser.
Where your inquiry goes
If you send us a message through a form on this site, your details go to our own contact database and to a customer relationship system operated by the agency that runs this website on our behalf, together with the record of how you reached us. Both are used to answer you and to understand which of our efforts bring inquiries, and neither is used to advertise to you elsewhere.
