Where this list comes from

All 195 shortcuts on this page are the default keyboard shortcuts published by Autodesk for Autodesk Revit 2024, taken from Autodesk’s own Revit Keyboard Shortcuts reference (PDF), retrieved on September 3, 2026. The groupings are ours; the shortcuts, the keys and the locations are Autodesk’s, copied and not reworded. Every command in that reference that ships with a default keyboard shortcut is on this page — all 195 of them. A handful are listed by Autodesk without a ribbon location, and those rows say so rather than guess.

These are the defaults, so they are what a fresh install gives you. Any of them can be reassigned: Revit has a Keyboard Shortcuts dialog for exactly that, and the dialog has a shortcut of its own. It is KS, listed on this page under Control what you see (View > Windows). If your office ships a customised template, check there before assuming a key is free.

Knowing the shortcuts is the easy part. Finding the person who already knows them is the hard one.

Questions, answered

How many keyboard shortcuts are on this sheet?

This page lists 195 default keyboard shortcuts for Revit 2024, taken from Autodesk's own published reference. That is every command in it that ships with a default shortcut, so nothing has been left out, and the source PDF is linked on this page so you can check it. The 195 are split into seven sets, and the search box matches command, keys and location at once.

Ask AI

How do I change a keyboard shortcut in Revit?

Revit has a Keyboard Shortcuts dialog for reassigning any of them, and it has a shortcut of its own: KS, listed on this page under Control what you see, at View > Windows. Note that these 195 are the defaults, so a customised office template may already have overridden some.

Ask AI

Do these shortcuts work in other versions of Revit?

This sheet is the Revit 2024 list and we have not checked it against another release, so we are not going to claim it matches. Autodesk publishes a reference per version. If you are on a different one, take this as a strong starting point and confirm anything critical.

Ask AI

Is the cheat sheet free, and can I print it?

Yes to both. There is no form, no download and no email to hand over: the sheet is the page. Use the print button at the top, or Ctrl+P, and you get all 195 rows laid out as tables with the navigation, the search box and the calls to action stripped out.
